My Story

HI My Name is Carmen, At the age of eight years old I self taught my self to play musical instruments piano, guitar and to read music. This later, inspired me to further develop my skills to become a musician. During middle school I joined a mariachi class where I learned to improve my skills that raised my curiosity to create YouTube videos where I taught other teens my age to play the guitar. Through my videos my goal was to inspired others to utilize music as a coping strategy for stress. In addition, I self taught my self to learn sigh language  to be able to communicate with other teens my age.  Through out my freshman and sophomore year I joined Mariachi Los Santos where I learned how to sing and further develop my talent as a musician. My passion to be a musician has  grown that I now want to pursue a career in music art therapy to help  others heal through the use of music. This inspiration became stronger as I continue to see my sister pursue her career as an Art therapist inspired by the painter Frida Kahlo. Social media has helped me develop my talent by helping me connect with other young influencers. My talent has helped me deal with my struggles as a high school student and has motivated me to become involve in talent shows at my current high school. I am very dedicated self independent and resilient individual, who has strive to succeed, despite my challenges . I'm a natural organizer and leader with excellent communication abilities. I am a really upbeat individual with a positive mindset who is committed to the task at hand. I have always been my schedule, quality, and productivity. To me, having a purpose in life necessitates having a desire and a willingness to explore. I demonstrate this in my approach to any assignment that is assigned to me by putting my best foot forward and being passionate about it.I've always strived to attain goals that I've aim to accomplish since I was a child, and leadership plays such an essential role in my life. Through all of my efforts, I work to implement a reputation as a strong leader who is willing to help from anywhere in the world.
